The Jesuit
youth Ministry for South Asia (JYMSA) in response to an invitation
received from Fr. Mark Raper SJ Provincial of Australia is undertaking
a pilgrimage to Australia with a total of 48 pilgrims. These include
8 Jesuit priests, three scholastics, two relgious sisters and
35 youth representing 15 provinces of South Asia.
MAGIS08 is an Ignatian experiment which will be conducted for
a period of 7 days from July 5 - 11, 2008 as a preparation for
the World youth Day to be held at Sydney, Australia from July
15 - 20, 2008 . It is a period of testing, taking risks and venturing
out into the unknown. It is about staying together in communities,
sharing and learing from each others' cultures, traditions and
beliefs. The purpose of the experiments is to lead the youth in
finding God in their lives - thus leading to commitment and service.
