Jesuit Conference of South Asia (JCSA)

is the Conference of Jesuit Major Superiors having jurisdiction in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It presently comprises the following 17 Provinces: Andhra, Bombay, Calcutta, Darjeeling, Dumka-Raiganj, Goa, Gujarat, Hazaribag, Jamshedpur, Karnataka, Kerala, Madurai, Madhya Pradesh, Patna, Pune, Ranchi and Sri Lanka, and 3 Regions: Delhi, Kohima, Nepal.

The Provincial of South Asia, who is also the President of the Conference, has jurisdiction over the Assistancy Houses of Formation and the Assistancy Apostolic Works. The Assistancy Houses of Formation are: Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth (with Faculties of Theology and Philosophy), Pune; Vidyajyoti College of Theology, Delhi; Sacred Heart College Satya Nilayam, Chennai (Faculty of Philosophy); The Papal Seminary, Pune; De Nobili College, Pune. He is also responsible for the Tertianship programmes conducted in the Assistancy at Kandy (Sri Lanka), Goa, Shembaganur and Hazaribag. The Assistancy Apostolic Works are: Sadhana Institute of Pastoral Counselling and Spirituality, Lonavla; the Indian Social Institute, New Delhi; the Indian Social Institute, Bangalore.

The Provincial of South Asia has oversight of the apostolic works in the Assistancy through the various Secretariats.
