The
International Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) was started by Fr.
Pedro Arrupe in 1980. JRS serves Refugees and Internally Displaced
Persons in 72 Countries. In South Asia JRS works with Bhutanese
Refugees in Nepal, the Srilankan Refugees in the Indian State
of Tamilnadu and with the Internally Displaced People in Srilanka.
JRS Mission is to Accompany, to Serve and to Defend the Cause
of the Refugees.
